After recently revealing new images teasing the upcoming Volkswagen Golf 8, the German firm has now released a video showing the evolution of the hatchback’s front-end design.
Seemingly the first instalment of a series of clips, the 30-second video depicts the development of what VW terms the Golf’s “expressive design”.
The video cycles through all seven generations of the hatchback, with each starting with a design sketch that transforms into a photograph of the actual vehicle. It ends with a sketch of the Golf 8.
Set to be fully revealed on October 24, the new Golf will again be produced at the company’s plant in Wolfsburg. VW says the eighth-generation Golf will hit initial markets in December 2019.
