A digital artist has created a render effectively transforming the new Audi RS6 Avant into a high-performance, single-cab bakkie.
X-Tomi Design took Ingolstadt’s recently revealed super-wagon, removed the rear quarters and added what looks to be a fairly useful load-bay.
While the digital artist no doubt used the Chevrolet El Camino as a source of inspiration (the latter was, of course, a pick-up adapted from a station-wagon platform), we can’t help but see some Chevrolet Lumina Ute in the overall proportions. That bright green paintwork probably also has something to do with it.
Under the RS6’s bonnet you’ll find a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 petrol engine (complete with a mild-hybrid system) churning out a whopping 441 kW and 800 N.m, directed to all four corners. And that’d make for one rapid bakkie.
Of course, the chances of Audi ever putting such a vehicle into production are virtually zero. However, X-Tomi Design has also dreamt up an RS6 sedan, which while rather unlikely, is still within the realm of possibility.
