Lexus has revealed the first official image of its new UX ahead of the baby crossover?s public debut at the Geneva International Motor Show.
An earlier teaser image, of course, had suggested the new model (slotting in below the NX, and taking on the likes of the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA) would feature a one-piece rear lighting element adopted from the concept, albeit in vastly toned-down form.
But the Toyota-backed brand has still yet to reveal the UX?s rump, with the first image showing the crossover from a front three-quarter angle, and the teaser video (see below) giving us a quick look inside.
Lexus promises that underneath the skin, there?s an all-new platform that gives the UX ?exceptional body rigidity? and a low centre of gravity for ?exceptional handling?.
Although engine options have yet to be revealed, expect the range to include both petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Interestingly, some reports suggest the new UX will ultimately replace the CT200h as the Japanese brand?s entry-level product, with sales of the hybrid hatchback dwindling.
