An intriguing shooting brake from Porsche has been spotted testing in various locations over the past few months. And now, finally, the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo has been officially revealed (and we already have local pricing).
The new super wagon will be available in 4, 4S, 4S Diesel, 4 E-Hybrid and Turbo flavours. The newcomer gains a larger tailgate, increased luggage compartment and an interesting seating arrangement.
An extendable roof-mounted spoiler replaces the futuristic active rear spoiler of the standard model.
Most importantly for this model, however, is the fact that the cabin boasts three seats in the rear, as opposed to two plus a console that runs through the centre. This is thanks to a 2+1 configuration that means the centre seat is slightly narrower that the two sports-inspired, individual pews on either side of it. A four-seat configuration as found in the standard Panamera is available for those who wish to retain it.
The roofline at the rear has also been raised to create a more comfortable setting for passengers. A 40:20:40 split rear folding seat configuration comes standard in this model, as does an electronic tailgate, two rails integrated into the loading floor, four lashing points and a luggage compartment partition net.
The Panamera Sport Turismo has already been confirmed for South Africa, in three guises, and will arrive locally at the start of 2018. Check out pricing below…
