This is what dreams are made of. A limited-run Prancing Horse with a naturally aspirated V12 perched behind the cockpit and the iconic 7 km Spa-Francorchamps circuit all to itself. Watch as this Ferrari Daytona SP3 effortlessly demonstrates its 620 kW prowess.
Spa-Francorchamps is arguably one of the most beautiful circuits on the Grand Prix calendar. Nestled in the great Ardennes forest with undulating gradients at every corner yielding an experience akin to that of a rollercoaster for the fortunate few that get to experience its grace in reality.
The natural surrounding beauty may be something that the Motorsport Magazine driver of this limited edition Ferrari Icona model wouldn’t have noticed since the Daytona SP3 effortlessly hit 200 km/h on the Kemmel Straight. Considering this is also one of only 599 examples of the Ferrari model to ever be built, we wouldn’t blame them for having their eyes constantly glued to the retro-inspired exterior when not in the cockpit.

Speaking of which, the exterior is finished with a lick of the traditional Ferrari Rosso Corsa while the interior is contrasted with Blu Sterling upholstery. With the exterior and interior demonstration of the model completed around the iconic Raidillon and Eau Rouge section, it is time for the model to sing its naturally aspirated V12 tune. One that screams, albeit a little bit softer than we would have liked compliments of restrictions, all the way up to 9 250 rpm.
The 6,5-litre motor is sizable in displacement, but also puts out respectable amounts of power; 620 kW and 697 N.m to be exact. The SP3 effortlessly picks up speed as shown in the embedded video and will continue up to its maximum of 340 km/h with the help of a lightning fast dual-clutch transmission shifting up the gears.
The model being tested is claimed to be valued at €1 967 836 (or around R34 million) with the several hundred units being specified to each buyer’s taste.
