Ahead of the 2022 Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix set to take place on the last weekend of the month, the streets of the French Riviera principality were alive with the sounds of cars from yesteryear with the Monaco Historic Grand Prix 2022.
Here are some of the best snaps from the Circuit de Monaco compliments of Goodwood Road & Racing photographer; Peter Summers.
This year’s edition of the Monaco Historic Grand Prix 2022 was live streamed by the Goodwood Road & Racing YouTube channel which provided a glimpse into a one-of-a-kind paddock with pre-war challengers sharing the iconic street circuit tarmac with iconic Formula 1 cars from a few decades ago.
Things were a bit noisier from this past weekend in comparison to when our Ryan O’Connor was invited to attend the Formula E event just under a month ago. For some of the cars enjoying the historic Grand Prix over the weekend, it was a nostalgia trip to their peak-performance considering many models, particularly those of the post-war Formula 1 era, actually raced along the same thin strip of land in their years of competitiveness.
The Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix will be taking place on the weekend of the 29th of March, so stay tuned for more action from the principality then.
