South Africans got their first look at the new Yaris at Toyota’s Johannesburg International Motor Show stand early in October. Just over a month later Toyota South Africa Motors is ready to launch this vehicle onto the market.
Based on first impressions, the new Yaris, with its vastly improved quality, decent standard specification levels and Toyota’s reputation for reliability, looks set to compete for top honours once again.
Images and limited details of the third-generation Toyota Yaris has been made public. The car is planned for European introduction soon and will make its local début later this year.
With eyes and ears open for the arrival of the Indian-built Toyota Etios budget-beater and possibility of the even smaller Aygo, pundits suggest a decline in the popularity of the Yaris…but with a replacement on the horizon, will the Yaris remain as strong as ever?
