We’ve experienced a good few Peugeot products in recent months and have walked away from many feeling generally pleased by what the French manufacturer has put together. We were able to get a taste of the 308 hatchback not too long ago and this is what we thought.
Peugeot has given its 308 hatchback and CC models a cosmetic upgrade that brings them into line with such stylish newcomers as the revamped 3008 and 508.
Peugeot has supplied the GTi with the ubiquitous 1,6-litre turbocharged engine that can be found in a range of Peugeot and Mini models, in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged form. The engine was co-developed between BMW and Peugeot. In the 308 GTi, it musters 147 kW (the same as the Golf 5 GTI and 8 kW less than the Golf 6 GTI) and 275 N.m.
Peugeot has released official images of the facelifted 308 ahead of its unveiling at the Geneva Show in March.
