As its name suggests, this latest limited edition GT3 RS features a 4,0-litre flat six engine, the biggest unit yet to find its way into a 911. Delivering 368 kW at 8 250 r/min and 460 N.m at 5 750 r/min this engine can trace many of its roots to the race engine. Some of the parts of the racing car, such as the crankshaft have been lifted directly from the racecar’s engine.
The Porsche GT3, as tested in the April 2010 issue of CAR magazine, lets its 3,8-litre flat six do the talking. Listen to the GT3 as it is blipped, pulls away with only a hint of wheelspin, and then treats you to a fly-by!
