Toyota’s Aygo city car has undergone a facelift for 2012 and has found its way to South Africa along with a new range-topping Inferno Special edition model.
Hot on the heels of the release of the facelifted Citroën C1 and Peugeot 107, Toyota has released details of its new Aygo, the supermini that shares its engines and platforms with the French duo.
Following years of chin scratching, Toyota has re-entered the buoyant entry-level market with the much-anticipated Aygo.

It is powered by a rear mounted 1,8-litre VVTi engine from the Toyota MR2 mated with a five-speed manual gearbox. It produces approximately 150 kW and 240 N.m of torque. And… It’s mental!
