Frenchmen Sebastien Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena edged closer to a ninth World Rally Championship title this weekend, as the Citroën duo bested rivals Jari-Matti Latvala and Miika Anttila (Ford World Rally Team) to win another Rallye Deutschland. Loeb and Elena’s Citroën team-mates Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen claimed the final podium spot.
In relaxed and dominant form throughout the weekend – fastest in two of the three practice sessions, on pole by a reasonable margin – Hamilton finally proved the worth of McLaren’s recent update package by leading all the way at the Hungaroring.

The Citroën Total World Rally Team walked away with its third one-two finish of the season at this weekend’s rally in Germany, after the 27-year old Frenchman Sébastien Ogier managed to become the first driver to beat Sébastien Loeb on an all-tarmac rally since 2004.
The newcomer shares much of its styling with the larger 5 Series. Production starts in Germany in November.
