McLaren’s newly developed GT facility has unveiled the MP4-12C GT3, the company’s first production-based racing car since the legendary F1 GTR. The Surrey-based manufacturer is now alluding to a street legal version of this racer as part of its “new product every year” plan.
Following the official launch of its MP4-12C supercar (see our driving impression in the March 2011 issue of Car) McLaren has launched both a new company, McLaren GT, and its first production-based racing car since the legendary F1 GTR.
The McLaren MP4-12C GT3 uses the same lightweight body constuction as the road-going version but, as you can see in this video, gains a few track based essentials.
