GABORONE, Sunday – South African champion Duncan Vos made it two in a row when he and Louis Weichelt, in a Sasol Nissan Navara, won an enthralling Toyota Kalahari Botswana 1000 Desert Race which ended here yesterday.
Defending champions in the special vehicle category Evan Hutchison and Achim Bergmann (BAT Spec 3) will lead the Motorite Racing “Team of Champions” in their quest for success in this weekend’s Toyota 1000 Desert Race in Botswana.
Reigning off road champions in the special vehicle category, Evan Hutchison and Achim Bergmann, made a great comeback in round three of the Absa Off Road Championship when they finished a strong second in their Motorite Racing BAT Spec 3 on the Nissan Sugarbelt 400 in the Pietermaritzburg area on Saturday.
Former South African champion Terence Marsh and Pieter Groenewald, in the Regent Racing BAT, upstaged some more fancied teams to win the Special Vehicle category in a dramatic Nissan Dealer 400 in Darling.
