The Viper has always been about numbers, and the new model doesn’t disappoint. The 8,4-litre V10 develops 477 kW and 813 N.m. According to SRT (Street and Racing Technology), the improved platform offers a 50-per-cent increase in rigidity compared with the previous model.
Street and Racing Technology (SRT), the division of the Chrysler group’s responsible for brute machinery such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 and Dodge Challenger SRT-8 will once again head up the development of the Viper. In the build-up to the new model’s debut at the New York Auto Show in April, SRT released a teaser image on Facebook.
