The all-new Lamborghini Countach has been teased ahead of its official reveal with three images depicting key design cues. Attached to these images is a caption that states “Great creations are born from great traditions.”
The first of the three Lamborghini Countach pictures details a portion of the front-end which portrays a series of wedged shapes and angles. Most of the body panels are finished in white but piano gloss black details are used for the splitter and a portion of the bumper that houses the “Countach” moniker in its traditional font.
The second displays the engine bay with a glass cover and a V12 plaque with the “ordine di accensione” for the cylinders in-between two gold-finished pieces. Very little details regarding the powertrain have been detailed but as Autocar reports, with it being based on the Aventador chassis, the all-new Lamborghini Countach is understood to employ the naturally aspirated 6,5-litre V12 with a supercapacitor for enhanced acceleration and lower emissions. This could give it a power output in the region of 597 kW.
The final image details a series of air vents and fuel filler cap that is a direct reference to the rear cues of the original model penned by Marcello Gandini. Again, a predominantly white colour with black accenting is used.

In the caption, the brand goes on to say that “Traditions that are filled with inspirational stories, discoveries, breakthroughs, twists and turns, passing down a unique heritage. Traditions that have embraced change and innovation. Our latest creation was born from this tradition. Stay tuned to discover the new Lamborghini Countach.”
Based on quotes sourced from company head Stefan Winkelmann, Autocar further reports that the all-new Lamborghini Countach will be a limited-run special much like the Sián and Ultimae. Importantly, it will be the last Lamborghini to feature supercapacitor technology as Winkelmann puts it: “A supercapacitor, in our opinion, is a bridge technology which does not fulfil the needs we have for the future to reduce emissions.”
The Countach will be followed in 2023 by the long-awaited successor to Lamborghini’s Aventador supercar flagship, which will retain its V12 engine but adopt plug-in hybrid system as the firm accelerates its transition to electrification.
