A host of spy pictures of Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming SLS AMG Black Series have surfaced over the past few months, but this latest video show’s the most aggressive iteration of the company’s gullwinged supercar attacking what is perhaps the most famous stretch of blacktop in the motoring world – the Nürburgring.
As befitting Black Series tradition, the engineers at Affalterbach have turned up the wick on this model. Whereas the standard SLS delivers 420 kW (435 kW in GT guise), it is widely believed that the Black Series will deliver around 460 kW and realise a considerable weight saving over the standard car.
After a Black Series test mule crashed and burned on the Nürburgring a few weeks ago, it is heartening to see that another test mule is doing the rounds. If you’re particularly eagle-eyed, you might also spot the next-generation S-Class undergoing testing on the same strip.
