The folks at Motor Trend in the United States have made a habit of putting together some epic drag races. As part of its annual “Best Driver’s Car” competition, the US publication hosts a quarter-mile sprint for line honours.
This, then, is the 8th iteration of Motor Trend’s annual drag.
For 2018, the publication gathered 12 vehicles – some familiar to us here in South Africa and others sadly not available in our market. Regardless, the video makes for some interesting viewing.
Here are the contenders: Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV (the first ever SUV to compete the “Worlds Greatest Drag Race” series), Aston Martin Vantage, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, McLaren 720S, Lamborghini Huracán Performante, Audi TT RS, Honda Civic Type R, Kia Stinger GT, Ford Mustang GT Premium GT2, Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack and BMW M5.
