The folks over at CarWow have lined up the new BMW M4 Competition Coupe for a drag race against its likely rivals; the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and Audi RS5 Coupe.
Under the bonnet of these performance coupes are three rather different engines. The new M4 Competiton makes use of a twin-turbocharged 3,0-litre straight-six sending 375 kW and 650 N.m of torque to the rear wheels via an eight-speed torque converter.
The AMG C63 S retains its traditional twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8, for now, with a similar power output of 375 kW and 700 N.m of torque sent to the rear via a nine-speed automatic. The RS5 switches things up just a bit with its twin-turbocharged 2,9-litre V6 which provides all four paws with 331 kW and 600 N.m of torque through an eight-speed automatic.
All three cars are pretty evenly matched in terms of claimed 0-100 km/h times so there’s no doubt that the competition was always going to be tough.
