Yes, the folks over at CarWow in the United Kingdom are back with another drag race, this time pitting the Hyundai i30 N against the E36-generation BMW 328i.
An odd pairing? Perhaps, but the results are nevertheless interesting.
For the record, Hyundai’s front-wheel-drive hot hatch (which has still not been confirmed for South Africa) makes 202 kW courtesy of a turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder engine.
And the naturally aspirated 2,8-litre inline-six in the rear-wheel-drive 328i? Well, the example featured here has benefitted from a spot of tuning (new inlet manifold, sports exhaust and an ECU remap) to make an estimated 165 kW.
