While some may question whether this was a controlled drift or simply a high-speed “hou vas”, the chaps at Guiness Book of Records were clearly impressed enough to present racecar driver Kuba Przygoński , driving his highly-modified Toyota 86, the new record for the fastest recorded drift. Przygoński achieved an average sideways speed of 217.97 km/h during two runs at an ex-military airport in Biala Podlaska, Poland.
Of interest, Przygoński ‘s entry speed was 256 km/h and he achieved a maximum slip angle of 49-degrees.
