One of the great benefits of having a young son is the resultant freedom that comes with it to walk into a toy shop and go LEGO shopping – for HIM, of course…
However, our attempts at recreating some automotive magic on a smaller scale pales in comparison with what this LEGO fanatic has achieved. Using 100 per cent original LEGO parts (2 500 of them), he has created an extremely faithful 1:7 scale replica of the Caterham Seven. The remote control (and fully functional) Caterham uses five electric motors and features realistic suspension (double wishbone front, DeDion live axle rear), working steering, disc brakes and a 5-speed sequential gearbox with reverse!
