This bizarre accident between Volkswagen’s Henk Lategan and Ford Fiesta driver Japie van Niekerk occurred during stage 8 of the recent Sasol rally in Nelspruit. As you can see from the footage things could have got horribly wrong for spectators on the special stage had the oncoming Fiesta jumped the pavement.
