Another week, another drag race. This time, CarWow pits the Audi RS Q8 against the BMW X6 M Competition and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid.

As a reminder, Ingolstadt’s RS Q8 employs a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 delivering 441 kW to all four wheels. That’s enough, says Audi, for a blast from zero to 100 km/h in just 3,8 seconds.

Munich’s X6 M Competition, meanwhile, uses a twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 offering 460 kW to all four corners. The result, according to BMW, is a sprint time matching that of the Audi above.

And the likewise all-paw Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid? Well, it employs a plug-in hybrid set-up combining a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 with an electric motor for a total system output of 500 kW. The claimed 0-100 km/h time is – you guessed it – some 3,8 seconds.

Watch the video above to see these three German contenders take part in a few straight-line battles, a couple of races from a rolling start and a brake test…
