The folks over at Lovecars have lined up the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS for a drag race.

As a reminder, the Aventador S Roadster employs a naturally aspirated 6,5-litre V12 sending 544 kW to all four corners. That’s enough, says the Italian firm, for a sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 3,0 seconds.

And the 991-generation 911 GT3 RS? Well, it’s lighter than the Lamborghini and also makes use of an atmospheric engine, though the 4,0-litre flat-six unit sends 383 kW to the rear axle. The result, claims Porsche, is a blast from standstill to three figures in around 3,2 seconds.
