As a reminder, the S8 sedan (which is scheduled to arrive in South Africa in early 2021) is powered by a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 petrol engine, delivering 420 kW and 800 N.m to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Flying Spur, meanwhile, also benefits from all-wheel drive, but employs a larger twin-turbo 6,0-litre W12 mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. While heavier than its Ingolstadt cousin, the 12-cylinder model offers more oomph at 467 kW and 900 N.m.
