So, you’re a racing simulator fan and as much as you enjoy playing GranTurismo and Forza, you still wish the overall feeling was more real. You want to feel as if you’re right there in car and on the track, and when you look to your left, you want to see other parts of the track and not your living room. Well, this may be what you’re looking for.
A company called Motion Simulation has put their heads together with the guys over at Ariel and together have developed the TL1 simulator. Thanks to three high-definition projectors, players get a full view of the track ahead. It houses the “world’s first portable 180-degree, spherical projector screen and variable driving position cockpit”.
The TL1 is compatible with PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. Should you want one, you better sell your car, a kidney and potentially something else. The TL1 simulator retails for an eye-watering 11 500 pounds, which translates to just short of R145 000.
The video below shows the TL1 at work on a Touring Car.
