This dashcam footage from Australia shows a Ford Fiesta driver turn across an intersection … directly into the path of an oncoming Nissan Navara.
As the bakkie enters the intersection, its driver spots the turning Fiesta and attempts to take evasive action, but it’s too late. The hatchback bounces off the bakkie and the two vehicles come to a rest in the intersection. That’ll hurt.
So, why did the Fiesta driver go in the first place? Well, it’s not exactly clear, but it’s possible the driver at the front of the stationary queue of vehicles in the right lane waved him or her through.
The lesson here? Keep your eyes open and don’t trust blindly when another road-user suggests you should go.
