We’ve all got our preferences when it comes to our favourite scenes involving all sorts of vehicles featured in a chase scene of some sort. More often than not though, those behind the wheel in the aforementioned reels are shown “sawing” endlessly at the wheel as though driving an automatic or CVT-equipped getaway and/or chase vehicle.
Even though the focus has moved from street racing to more dramatic and brazen cash heists and epic chase scenes, the Fast and Furious film franchise has at least stayed faithful to the good ol’ manual gearbox and three-pedal layout that die-hard petrolheads call pure motoring. Thanks to YouTube user thecussingchannel we get to see just how much time the producers have dedicated to depicting lightning-quick gearshifts, clutch kicking and heel-and-toe manouevres.
Featuring nearly every gear change from the Fast and Furious box set, carefully cut and pasted into a two-minute montage, this video is good for a few laughs, as well as being a homage to the excess of Hollywood. We love it.
