Last month, Kelly Lodewyks outlined the danger in having children standing, kneeling, and playing around unbuckled in a moving car (here). While I’m sure the people who really needed to read her blog haven’t yet, or simply assume that they are better drivers than those who go on to hurt or kill their children (and it’ll never happen to them), perhaps this video might strike a cord.
This simulated crash happened at only 30 mph (48,2 km/h). Ask yourself what would happen as the speed increases.
Grow up people! Buckle your children up properly.
