Now this is interesting. The owner of this Toyota Highlander SUV claims that the accelerator pedal on the vehicle got stuck open (remember that PR nightmare from a few years ago?), causing the car to accelerate up a driveway and ram into a house.
Now we’re not saying that this isn’t what actually happened, and we’re not saying it is, but the security video footage of the incident clearly shows the Highlander pulling up slowly before heading full-tilt up the driveway, then reversing, and then accelerating into the house one more time. Finally, once more in reverse, the SUV lurches back into the street and pirouettes before coming to a halt.
While the video was only loaded onto YouTube in January this year, there is no date on the actual footage.
