Twin-turbo V8 drag race! Lamborghini Urus vs. Audi RS6 Avant…

The folks over at CarWow have lined up the new Audi RS6 Avant for a drag race against its Volkswagen Group cousin, the Lamborghini Urus.

As a reminder, the RS6 employs a twin-turbo 4,0-litre V8 engine delivering 441 kW and 800 N.m to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough, says the Ingolstadt-based firm, for a sprint from standstill to three figures in just 3,6 seconds.

And the Urus? Well, Lamborghini’s slightly heavier SUV makes use of the same V8 engine, though in this application the peak outputs have been raised to 478 kW and 850 N.m, sent to all four corners through the same ZF-sourced eight-speed auto. The obligatory 0-100 km/h blast likewise takes a claimed 3,6 seconds.
