Watch Toyota Hilux being dragged out of the water (by Land Cruiser 79)…

This footage captured somewhere in South Africa shows a Toyota Hilux bakkie being pulled out of a dam by a Land Cruiser 79.

The one-minute clip starts with the white double-cab bakkie completely submerged. Some 15 seconds later, the Dakar-branded bakkie breaks the surface, with its daytime running lights still illuminated.

Once the single-cab Land Cruiser 79 has dragged the Hilux back onto terra firma, we see a boat trailer still attached.

It’s not clear exactly where in South Africa the video was shot but it’s worth noting the Hilux in the clip is wearing Free State numberplates. Interestingly, we saw something similar in Zambia in 2019.
