Traffic jams can be frustrating for a lot of people, especially those in a hurry. It’s not too uncommon to see drivers deciding that they no longer want to participate and just pull a U-turn and head the other direction. This video recorded in Lansdowne, Australia and featuring a Toyota Hilux shows us why this isn’t always the best idea.
Recorded at 16:50 in the afternoon, the Toyota Hilux owner gets immediately frustrated at the fact that there is a traffic jam and makes the choice to turn into the oncoming lane with the intention to head the other way. However, it seems the driver may have misjudged the space they had and landed up causing a bit of a spider’s nest.
The victim to fall prey to this trap was an older blue Opel Astra that didn’t have much time to react. With some late braking and evasive maneuvers, the Astra managed to edge to the right and make contact with the Hilux’s overhang area thus creating a new traffic jam in the oncoming lane.
By the looks of it, no one involved was hurt and fellow drivers rushed quickly to assist.
