The load-carrying Triton was unable to stop for the red light in time.
This dashcam footage from Australia shows a previous-generation Mitsubishi Triton driver that doesn’t seem to notice the traffic lights ahead are red. Resultantly, it crosses through the intersection and makes contact with a fellow Mitsubishi owner.
At the 11-second mark, in heavy rains, the driver of the bakkie realises their mistake and slams the brakes but by this point it’s too late. The load-carrying Triton coasts through the intersection and makes contact with a previous-generation Mitsubishi Outlander after narrowly missing a bright blue Ford Focus.
