This dashcam footage from Australia shows a Toyota Auris (or Corolla hatchback, as this model is known Down Under) turn left and clip the rear of a Volkswagen Golf, removing the Japanese hatch’s front bumper.
The clip shows the white Toyota preparing to turn left at an intersection. But a Golf darts up in the inside in the bus lane, resulting in a light collision between the two.
Technically, the Auris should have moved over into the bus lane to turn left (according to Australia’s road rules, anyway) rather than doing so from a lane marked with a straight arrow. But then the VW probably shouldn’t have been in the bus lane either.
