A mint 1997 Ferrari F50 with only 170 km on the odometer is expected to fetch big money at Broad Arrow Auctions’ second annual Las Vegas sale on 31 October 2026.

Lot number 139 in Broad Arrow Auctions’ second annual Las Vegas sale, which takes place on 31 October 2026, the 1997 Ferrari F50 pictured here is expected to fetch “in excess” of $20 million – or around R330 million at the current Rand-Dollar exchange rate – when it goes under the hammer. Finished in Rosso Corsa exterior paintwork, this example – chassis number 107165 – is mint, with its odometer reading indicating only 170 km travelled since new. Only 349 F50s were built, with this being the 334th example. The F50 heading to auction features a black leather-upholstered interior and retains its factory removable hard top, allowing for both berlinetta (closed roof) and, come the summer months, barchetta (open top) configurations.
The F50 employs a 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V12, derived from the Italian automaker’s 3.5-litre Formula 1 unit, with five valves per cylinder, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. The engine produces 382 kW and 471 N.m of torque – the former and the latter available from 8 500 and 6 500 r/min, respectively. Power is exclusively delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed gated manual transmission. These outputs allow the F50 to dispatch the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.87 seconds, Ferrari says, on its way to a 325 km/h top speed.
