Order books for the new Audi RS 5 are completely filled up for 2026, as demand for the brand’s first-ever plug-in hybrid performance model showcases immense popularity…

The new RS 5 is proving a successful venture for its maker. Audi’s first-ever plug-in hybrid (PHEV) performance model has surpassed all initial demand forecasts. Indeed, orders across European markets reached nearly double the anticipated volume. This has resulted in the entire 2026 annual production run selling out prior to the overseas rollout. Built at the German marque’s manufacturing plant in Neckarsulm, Germany, the new RS 5 is now available in key international territories, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea.
The latest RS 5’s PHEV powertrain pairs a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine with a 130 kW/460 N.m electric motor. The latter sources power from a 22 kWh battery pack. The PHEV setup produces a combined system output of 470 kW and 825 N.m of torque – good for a claimed 3.6-second 0-100 km/h sprint time. Audi balances this performance by including a revised quattro all-wheel-drive system, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, featuring a centre limited-slip differential.
New Audi RS 5 to make special appearance at 2026 Singapore Grand Prix

Audi Revolut F1 Team will be making its inaugural Singapore Grand Prix appearance over the 9-11 October race weekend, as the team continues its first season in the sport. The firm is taking this opportunity to officially launch the new RS 5 for the region, as well as the other aforementioned markets. Both the company’s F1 race cars and the RS 5 feature a distinctive silver and black theme. The design team created a bespoke livery inspired by the host city under artificial illumination. The two Audi R26 F1 cars showcase a unique Titanium Silver Gray finish that shifts hue under night lights. The colour features a subtle blue shimmer reflecting the twilight skyline and illuminated Marina Bay architecture. Additionally, the livery incorporates traditional Peranakan tile motifs. The latter pays tribute to Singaporean culture, with matching patterns integrated into the drivers’ racing suits.
The RS 5 highlights the technical alignment between the production portfolio and the motorsport programme, utilising F1 to showcase hybrid efficiency alongside power. Both the Avant and Sedan variant will participate in promotional track events, including official hot lap sessions throughout the race weekend. Public displays for the new model include installations at the Funan Mall and the Audi House of Progress on Cross Street. Complementing the track activities, the team presents the ‘Art of Influence’ campaign. The event features local fan activations and public viewings. Audi is also taking this opportunity to release an exclusive Adidas apparel range. Track action culminates with the main race starting on Sunday, 11 October at 8 pm local time (2 pm South African Standard Time).
