The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition is an extraordinary AMG G63 bakkie conversion, with a heavily modified V8 pushing 662 kW. Only 10 will be made…

The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition returns as an extraordinary high-performance bakkie based on the AMG G63. This custom-built ladder-frame off-roader combines modern utility with supercar DNA. Production is strictly limited to only 10 units worldwide. The exterior features an exposed carbon fibre wide-star design. Red accents complement twenty-four-inch forged wheels, resulting in a rare model that continues a legacy of dramatic design and power. Brabus prices each unit at €846 943.94 (est. R15.7 million).
The Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition’s supercar-rivalling performance numbers
AMG’s V8 biturbo sees an increase in displacement up to 4.5 litres. This engine delivers 662 kW and 1,250 N.m of torque via a nine-speed automatic transmission and permanent All Wheel Drive. The custom bakkie accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds before hitting a limited 240 km/h top speed.
Eight forged pistons and a precision-balanced billet crankshaft increase the stroke to 100 mm. High-performance connecting rods ensure structural integrity. Two custom turbochargers feature larger compressor units and reinforced axial bearings to increase boost pressure to 1.4 bar. Two boostXtra valves produce a distinctive blow-off sound during throttle transitions. Specially programmed electronic maps control fuel injection and ignition.

Brabus went all out for a custom bakkie chassis
Brabus’s engineers developed a special extension module for the steel ladder frame. While not as dramatic as the 6×6 conversion, this modification extends the wheelbase by 500 mm. Repositioning the rear suspension preserves optimal torsional rigidity, while a manufactured steel rear bulkhead separates the cabin from the cargo bed. Metal forms the robust floor and side-opening tailgate. Carbon fibre side panels feature durable soft teak decking and red lettering. Two lockable waterproof cargo boxes sit behind the bulkhead.
Forged 24-inch wheels feature carbon fibre aeroblades and low-profile rubber. Hankook developed special Ventus high-performance tyres for this vehicle. Front wheels measure 10Jx24 with 295/30 ZR 24 tyres. Rear wheels measure 12Jx24 with 345/25 ZR 24 tyres. An aluminium coilover suspension lowers the vehicle by 45 mm. Drivers select preferred damping setups using the cockpit drive select switch.
Widebody design with a dramatic red and black color scheme
The widebody design enhances the aggressive stance of the Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition. Exposed carbon fibre fender flares accommodate massive wheels. Integrated entry lights illuminate when door handles are activated. A bold front fascia features large air intakes and an integrated spoiler. An illuminated radiator grille highlights red signature stripes and a glowing badge. A powerdome adorns the hood. The rear boasts an exposed carbon fibre trim panel and matching fascia.

Specialists in the upholstery workshop handcrafted an exclusive interior. Soft black leather combines with Alcantara and precise shell-design quilting. Bright red stitching and rocket red cockpit elements provide striking contrast. Integrated LED lights change colour to prompt manual upshifts. A unique digital product passport verifies ownership via near-field communication technology on the cargo bed.
