The iCaur V25 has been unveiled at the 2026 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China. This SUV completes the brand’s V-Series family alongside the V23 and larger V27.

The iCaur V25 continues the Chinese brand’s Future Classic design direction that we’ve already seen across the V-Series. The Chery sub-brand positions it directly between the compact V23 and the larger V27, targeting consumers who want distinct styling alongside functional everyday flexibility. Sourcing design inspiration from the V23, this model retains an upright stance, round headlamps, and a squared-off profile. A height-to-width ratio of 0.96:1 gives the vehicle an almost square proportion. Key external details include a flat front end, clamshell bonnet, upright windscreen, side-opening tailgate, and full-size spare wheel.
Space efficiency remains a priority inside the vehicle. The design delivers a claimed 66.4% longitudinal space efficiency, maximising room for occupants and cargo. The interior incorporates 41 storage compartments and yields up to 1 549 litres of luggage capacity. Battery-electric models add a front luggage compartment and 22 litres of underfloor storage.

The iCaur V25’s dual powertrain and all-wheel-drive strategy
Buyers can choose between battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) configurations. The REEV model uses the Golden REEV system, featuring a turbocharged 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine that acts as an onboard generator for the battery. This generator system achieves a maximum thermal efficiency of 44.5% and a conversion rate of 3.71 kWh per litre. Driving modes include Forced EV, EV Priority, Hybrid, Fuel First, and Forced Charge.
All-wheel-drive variants combine the i-AWD system with the i-SWIFT Agile Handling Platform. The dual-motor setup delivers a combined 335 kW and 505 N.m of torque. System logic adjusts torque distribution and toggles between two- and all-wheel drive dynamically based on road conditions.
Prioritising cabin comfort and safety
The interior features front seats that fold flat to align with the rear seats, creating a continuous sleeping or resting area for outdoor trips. Equipment includes an opening panoramic sunroof with a powered shade, electrically adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, driver memory settings, and a 15-speaker audio system.
The structural body uses 80% high-strength and advanced high-strength steel, achieving a torsional stiffness of 30 000 N.m per degree. Occupant protection includes seven airbags, featuring a front centre airbag, along with dual-stage load-limiting seatbelts. Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection, driver monitoring, a 540-degree surround-view camera, and automated parking assistance.
The iCaur V25’s integrated customisation and global rollout

Customisation forms a core pillar of the V25 package. The body incorporates over 20 factory-integrated mounting interfaces. These points allow owners to add accessories without modifying critical vehicle structures or wiring. The vehicle also supports a 1.8-tonne braked towing capacity and a 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) output for powering external electrical gear.
At the summit, iCaur showcased three customised models. These include the V23 Forge, V25 Game Changer, and V27 Sun Roam. The V25 Game Changer features gaming-inspired styling, such as joystick-themed colour accents and controller-style details. Official accessory variants will roll out to select global markets from early 2027.
Shannon Gahagan, Head of Brand and Marketing for iCaur South Africa, noted that the V25 broadens the brand’s local potential while retaining its core design identity. iCaur currently operates in over 40 countries and aims to expand to more than 70 markets during 2027. Specific local market specifications and pricing will follow closer to regional launch dates.
