The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro will soon be available in South Africa as another option for consumers looking to buy in the compact crossover segment. With pricing due to be revealed sometime next month, the local arm has detailed what features will come standard on this model.
In an attempt to make the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro an appealing offer, the crossover will come standard with LED headlamps and DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels (with optional 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels), a 3,5-inch TFT display will be fitted to entry-level models while a 7,0-inch digital instrument cluster will be added to higher range models. All models will boast the 10,25 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Further comfort features included throughout the range consist of air conditioning, electric windows, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Luxury versions add even more specifications including a powered sunroof, an intelligent voice command system and climate control.
Where power is concerned, entry-level models will use a naturally aspirated 1,5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 85 kW and 141 N.m of torque to the front wheels via a CVT. A turbocharged petrol engine pushing 108 kW and 210 N.m of torque uses this same transmission.
All models of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro will be equipped with passive and dynamic safety systems, including two or six airbags (depending on the model), vehicle stability control on all models, hill hold control and, on higher specification models, hill descent control and cruise control.
“We look forward revealing the full line-up, with pricing and service plan details, in a month’s time. We will then also reveal what we believe to be a class leading warranty solution to give our customers the peace of mind that they deserve,” says Tony Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager, Chery South Africa.
