The Haval Jolion has landed in SA with local pricing for the entire range. The Chinese crossover is available in five different trims with prices starting under the R300 000 mark. All derivatives are powered by the turbocharged 1,5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine pushing 105 kW and 210 N.m of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Starting the Haval Jolion range off is the City trim which uses the manual transmission and boasts an asking price of R299 900. In this, the crossover comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 3,5-inch instrument cluster, fabric seats, dual and front airbags, rear parking sensors, keyless entry with push stop/start and a 10,25-inch touchscreen infotainment system connected to four speakers.
One trim higher, also using the manual gearbox, is the Luxury with a price of R332 900. In here, owners get a set of 18-inch alloys, a seven-inch LCD instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof with roof rails, leather seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, reverse camera, a six-speaker sound system, automatic LED headlamps and dual-zone aircon.
Next in line is the Premium trim which asks for R339 900. It’s the entry-level for the DCT but spec is lower than the aforementioned Luxury. On here, features mimic that of the City but a set of roof rails, a leather steering with paddle shifters, reverse camera, four speakers, automatic headlamps and dual-zone aircon with rear vents are added.
A Luxury trim is also available in DCT guise with a price tag of R367 900. Although the trim name is the same, with the self-shifter there is a bit more kit as standard such as driving and dynamic adjustable steering modes and a rear vent for the aircon.
Topping off the range is the Super Luxury costing R398 900. Added to this is a wireless charger for smartphones, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, pre-collision warning with active emergency braking including pedestrians and cyclists, lane departure warning and blind spot assist. For entertainment, the top-of-the-range also boasts the 12,3-inch touchscreen infotainment with the six-speaker system.
All Haval Jolion models come standard with a five-year/100 000 km warranty and five-year/60 000 km service plan.
