Hyundai has launched its popular Venue facelift in South Africa with the refreshed model set to continue bolstering sales for the brand in the compact SUV segment. The diminutive high rider has also been given some sporty treatment with an N Line derivative. Here is all pricing and specification.
The popular Venue – bolstering sales figures for Hyundai
The Hyundai Venue has been a strong performer for the Korean brand since its inception, placing after the Toyota Urban Cruiser and Volkswagen T-Cross with a strong market share of 10,4% and 5 212 units sold since the beginning of the year. It is part of the reason that Hyundai has consistently placed in the top 10 for monthly sales charts with the firm currently ranking 4th in the passenger segment with 10 529 units sold since the start of 2022.

The Venue receives some exterior updates on both the front and rear fascia to better align the model with the design language in the rest of the range. For the first time in the lineup, the popular Venue will receive N Line treatment which receives some sporty trim, bespoke wheels and twin exit exhausts.
A choice of two engines can be had, the first serving the lower end of the range being a 1,2-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder that is good for 61 kW and 115 N.m. Depending on trim, the motor can be paired with a manual gearbox or DCT. Further up the specifications list is a turbocharged unit which loses a cylinder but gains more power. The 1,0-litre unit puts out 88 kW and 172 N.m and can also be coupled to a manual transmission or DCT.
In terms of trim levels, Hyundai is offering the popular Venue in three flavours; Motion, Fluid or N Line. The Motion includes either 15-inch hubcaps on the entry-level derivative or 16-inch hubcaps on the 1,0-litre models while the interior boasts a digital dashboard, PDC with rearview camera, 9-inch display with Bluetooth and keyless entry.
The Fluid models receive 16-inch alloys, roof rails, DRLs and automatic LED headlamps while the inside comes standard with cloth and leather seats and a chilled glovebox.
For the first time, the Venue will be available in N Line flavour and this includes a raft of standard features for the price. The exterior boasts N Line badging with updated trim and a sunroof while the interior has been conclusively updated to differentiate the model from standard. This includes sporty trim, a leather steering wheel and aluminium pedals, selectable drive models, cruise control, a digital dashboard, keyless start and an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
