The Land Rover Defender Alasia Pack has been revealed for the European market, celebrating the ancient Mediterranean’s historical copper mining industry…

The Land Rover Defender Alasia Pack has been revealed as an exclusive package for the European market. This design option introduces distinctive Cyprus Copper exterior details honouring ancient Mediterranean history. Alasia is the historical name for Cyprus, which supplied copper to ancient civilisations. The Cyprus Copper finish reflects this heritage, appearing on the front and rear ‘Defender’ lettering, front grille bar, side air vents, and rear recovery eyes. This customisation option is available for the Defender 90, 110, and 130 models. However, the initial launch highlights the Defender 90. Buyers can also select to remove the rear door-mounted spare wheel.
Land Rover says removing the spare wheel improves urban manoeuvrability. The setup helps drivers park in tight spaces. It also increases rear visibility. The now-lighter, through removing the spare, rear tailgate opens easily in restricted areas. Furthermore, the modified rear remains compatible with standard bike carriers.

Inside, the Defender Alasia maintains the standard 90 model’s versatility. It accommodates up to six occupants thanks to a front centre jump seat. The second row features a 40:20:40-split configuration. Users can balance passenger seating and cargo space with an interior that provides a claimed load capacity of up to 1 500 litres.
Patrick McGillycuddy, Global Managing Director of Defender, stated that individual style and adventure drive customer demand. The new design pack delivers enhanced personalisation. The Cyprus Copper hue adds warm energy to the exterior styling, ensuring the vehicle stands out in any environment.
European customers can now order the Alasia Pack. Land Rover South Africa has confirmed that this model will not reach our market.
