Arcfox has officially launched in South Africa, with the BAIC sub-brand entering the market with the T1, a value-oriented electric vehicle (EV) rivalling the likes of the Chery Q, BYD Dolphin Surf, and Geely E2 in our market. We detail the local model lineup, powertrains, specifications, and pricing.
Arcfox T1 powertrain and range
Employed across the two-strong Arcfox T1 lineup is a single electric motor, fed by a 42.3-kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, driving the front wheels. The front-mounted electric motor produces 70 kW and 176 N.m of torque. Arcfox claims a 310 km operating range. The battery pack, which supports DC fast charging, can be topped up from 30-80% in a claimed 25 minutes.
Arcfox T1 dimensions and boot space
