Boasting a selection of model-specific detailing, including bronze trim, Mahindra has unveiled the Bolero Bold Edition.

Mahindra has whipped the wraps off the Bolero Bold Edition, a box-fresh derivative boasting a selection of updates to make it stand out from the lineup…and the crowd on-road. The Bold Edition package includes myriad bronze inserts – for the grille, lower front bumper, side mirror caps, doors, and roof rails. The same hue has been applied to the model-specific 15-inch alloy wheels.
The Bold Edition is based on the flagship “standard” model. Included with range-topping trim are leatherette front seats and floor mats featuring ‘Bolero’ branding. In the special edition, the former and latter also gain bronze accents. Further included in the package are a 9.0-inch infotainment system and rear-view camera array, supplemented by park distance sensors. Safety features include driver and front passenger airbags and ABS.
The Bolero Bold Edition retains the same, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine employed by its stablemates. The oil-burner churns out 57 kW and 210 N.m of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of availability Mahindra doesn’t offer the Bolero in this guise in South Africa, although you can get a light commercial variant by way of the MaXX Pik-Up. In India, the Bolero Bold Edition will be a dealership fitted accessory package. Although pricing for this model remains unconfirmed, it’s fair to say it will cost more than the flagship Bolero – the latter priced from ₹9.99 lakh, or around R174 970 at the current Rand-Rupee exchange rate.
