Showcasing its electric future, Stellantis has whipped the wraps off six concept cars from historic brands at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The lineup includes the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso, reimagined Citroën 2 CV, Peugeot RCZ Vision, and more.

Stellantis kicked off the 2026 Paris Motor Show, which takes place from 12-18 October, with an exclusive preview event titled “The Night Before”. Led by Gilles Vidal, Head of Design for Enlarged Europe, the automotive group revealed six bold concept cars from iconic brands – Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Fiat, DS, Opel, and Peugeot. This showcase highlights future mobility, advanced engineering, and distinct design philosophies aimed at shaping future vehicle production.
Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso Concept showcases classic Italian design

The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept represents the historic Italian brand’s vision for future electrification, while embracing classic exterior styling. Penned by Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, the 2+2 coupé showcases the ‘Bellezza Necessaria’ design philosophy. This direction eliminates unnecessary elements to unify aesthetics, technology, and functionality.
The concept’s monolithic bodywork is finished in Liquid Ink Red. The design study features an updated ‘Trilobo’ grille with a backlit ‘Scudetto’, a truncated tail (‘Coda Tronca’), rear-facing doors, and modern telephone-style forged wheels. The aerodynamic sheet metal achieves a drag coefficient of 0.28. The driver-focused interior includes a ‘Cannocchiale Vivente’ digital instrument interface, ergonomic seating, and eco-friendly regenerated leather.
Built to support versatile multi-energy powertrains, the concept highlights a performance-oriented 2.9-litre V6 Full-Hybrid engine with Q4 all-wheel drive. Air suspension and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes are also present.
Citroën 2 CV Concept previews affordable electric car for 2028

The 2 CV Concept previews an affordable future electric vehicle from Citroën. Stellantis confirms a production version will hit the market in 2028. Europe will be the focus region, with the brand targeting a €15 000 entry price (approximately R277 300 at the current Rand-Euro exchange rate). Citroën aligns the 2 CV Concept with new European E-Car regulations.
The 2 CV Concept measures 3 760 mm long and targets a total weight of 1 000 kg – the latter in a bid to optimise battery efficiency. Exterior details include round headlamps and 18-inch steel wheels. A fabric sunroof is also present. The minimalist interior features Citroën Advanced Comfort seating, a single-spoke steering wheel with Citroën Smart Vision display, and a removable ‘Radioën’ speaker. The cabin replaces the traditional dashboard with open storage and incorporates sustainable materials, including 3D-printed bio-based plastic components.
Fiat Multiplay Concept revives quirky MPV with bakkie functionality

The Fiat Multiplay concept car marks the unofficial return of one of the quirkiest models the Italian brand has ever made…the Multipla. Measuring 4 450 mm long, the revived MPV now adopts SUV-inspired styling, while offering the utility benefits of a bakkie.
The Multiplay’s central feature is its C-pillar ‘Metamorfosi’ architecture. The latter incorporates a sliding rear module through which the enclosed cabin can be converted into a load bed. The interior offers a flexible 6+1 seating layout, including a modular ‘Petsenger seat’ for child seats, pets, or storage, along with a convertible rear passenger ‘Sunseat’. A rotatable rear spoiler doubles as a built-in bike rack.
Design elements draw inspiration from the Italian summer, with a green exterior and red interior tones. Fiat builds this concept using sustainable monomaterial textiles, featuring a hidden dashboard display and waterproof finishes. It also serves as a design laboratory for future Fiat mobility solutions.
DS F3VER Concept previews next-generation electric hot hatch

The DS F3VER concept car highlights the French marque’s design direction for its next generation of electric cars. The compact EV measures 4 190 mm long, 1 840 mm wide, and 1 460 mm tall, with a 2 700 mm wheelbase. The boot capacity is rated at 400 litres.
Key design elements come in the shape of a central front “totem” displaying the brand’s emblem and vertical Y-shaped lighting arrays. The rear includes a digitalised logo and 3D lights comprising 16 LED panels in a magnesium frame. Personalisation options include a customisable roof ring and dichroic Cosmic Blue paint that shifts shade depending on the lighting.
The DS F3VER also introduces a ‘Design Intelligence’ philosophy that simplifies construction, reduces total components, and optimises aerodynamics through the use of AI development tools.
Opel STX Concept previews electric performance wagon

The Opel Sports Tourer eXperimental (STX) Concept took the stage at the German brand’s exhibition alongside the new Corsa GSE and GSE 27FE Formula E race car. The compact EV wagon concept previews Opel’s future design language and engineering direction.
The STX Concept features an evolved version of the Opel Vizor, incorporating an illuminated Blitz logo, vertical lamellas, and a prominent Opel Compass lighting signature. Its silver-and-blue aerodynamic profile includes flush body panels, with side cameras replacing traditional wing mirrors, and glass light strips placed along the C-pillars. Active aerodynamic elements include extending rear diffusers and bumper sections. Powered by a dual electric-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, the STX Concept’s top speed exceeds 200 km/h. The driver-focused interior integrates lightweight seating with immersive ‘Painting with Light’ technology.
Peugeot RCZ Vision previews 368 kW electric sports coupé

The Peugeot RCZ Vision concept revives a niche nameplate from almost 20 years ago, as a commitment to high-performance electric mobility from the French brand. Succeeding the original RCZ coupé, the design study introduces the firm’s ‘Feline Future’ design language.
Built on the modular STLA One platform, the concept pairs 1 000 V architecture with a solid-state battery developed alongside Factorial Energy. The powertrain generates a combined 368 kW and offers a range of up to 600 km, with an energy consumption of 11.5 kWh/100 km. A 10-80% charge takes 10 minutes, the company says.
The interior features Peugeot’s next-generation i-Cockpit setup with Hypersquare steering control and a switchable, transparent Micro LED central display. Driving dynamics rely on X-by-wire systems, including steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire, complemented by Level 2++ automated driving capabilities.
