The Toyota GR Corolla has once again been teased by the North American arm of the Japanese manufacturer in yet another Instagram post. What looks like an unsuspecting picture of an optioned-up Corolla Hatch is in fact a hint to the upcoming hot hatch.
In a series of three pictures, the second post boasts the caption “Step out of the shadows into the spotlight” with the Toyota GR Corolla parked sneakily in the dark with Gazoo Racing’s trendy camouflage livery. The second post states “Blink and you’ll miss it” as a reference to the previous post.

A report out of Japan claimed the long-rumoured Toyota GR Corolla hot hatch will be more road-biased than the rally-bred GR Yaris.
It was said that the new Toyota GR Corolla will be available in both five-door hatchback and wagon form, offering more practicality than the smaller, three-door GR Yaris.
The rumour claimed the GR Corolla will thus offer improved “rear-seat comfort” and a “large” luggage compartment.
The biggest departure from the GR Yaris formula, however, is expected to come in the form of chassis tuning. It was also understood that the hot Corolla will be positioned as a “more casual” hatchback than the GR Yaris, with an emphasis on “on-road” (rather than rally-like) performance.
