That’s right, Raven Cars will become the first automaker in history to make a car that doesn’t exist in the physical dimension. That is because the V12 Raven GT only exists in an NFT (non-fungible token) format.
If this is all sounding foreign to you, Investopedia defines an NFT as a cryptographic asset on a blockchain with unique identification codes and metadata that distinguish them from each other. Unlike cryptocurrencies, they cannot be traded or exchanged at equivalency. This differs from fungible tokens like cryptocurrencies, which are identical to each other and, therefore, can serve as a medium for commercial transactions.
Other automotive brands such as Lamborghini and Volkswagen have dabbled in the NFT space with purely-digital products pertaining to cars however no car has ever been offered purely as one. Welcome to the 21st Century where Raven Cars has become the first automaker in history to make a car that doesn’t physically exist. The sleek profile with striking air vents and dramatic creases in its bodywork is undoubtedly an attractive and modern day interpretation of a Grand Tourer however it will only be limited to a digital garage displayed on a screen.
The theoretical V12 Raven GT can put out 588 kW and 717 N.m which can supposedly propel the artificial mass on your screen to 100 km/h in 2,9-seconds before hitting its top speed of 340 km/h. The more you read, the more you begin to long for it to become a reality since the hypercar weighs in at only 1,525 kg and powers the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
The website further states that the Raven GT is “Born from love for supercars, shaped by passion for high quality design, conceived by expertise in automotive modelling, realised with last generation technologies, the GT represents the first NFT concept car developed by Raven.”
Perhaps if it garners enough attention from the real world, the creators of this vehicle which is “Inspired by the future, sculpted by the wind, made possible by your dreams,” can become a reality.
