Numbers are what the Porsche Panamera Turbo S is all about. Its 4,8-litre biturbo V8 engine delivers a whopping 405 kW and there’s 800 N.m of torque on tap (in overboost mode). Those are big numbers… but there’s more. Top speed is 306 km/h and the 0-100 km/h sprint is done (effortlessly, I may add) in 3,8 seconds. The Panamera Turbo S is not so much knocking on the supercar segment’s door as head-butting it. And to put that in perspective for you… this car weighs two tons. It is just ever so slightly insane.
With 405 kW and 800 N.m of torque developed by its tweaked 4,8-litre twin-turbo engine, Porsche’s range-topping Panamera Turbo S will reportedly despatch the 0-100 km/h run in 3,8 seconds before hitting a 306 km/h top whack. CAR editor Hannes Oosthuizen is currently on the lunch, so keep an eye out for updates here on CARmag.co.za.
Porsche has just released its newest edition to the Panamera range, the Turbo S. The Panamera Turbo delivers an already healthy 368 kW and 700 N.m, but the Turbo S takes this up to 410 kW and 750 N.m. And, if the owner pushes the throttle to the floor, it will activate the overboost function that will increase torque to 800 N.m.
