Isuzu has announced it is the official vehicle sponsor of the 2027 men’s and 2029 women’s Rugby World Cup tournaments.

Isuzu has announced it will be the official automotive partner for the upcoming 2027 men’s and 2029 women’s Rugby World Cup tournaments in Australia. Focused on the sport’s core values of integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline, and respect, as laid out by the World Rugby Playing Charter, the Japanese automaker looks to use this partnership for the forthcoming World Cup events to align itself with the firm’s purpose. The company is using its “Moving the World – for You” slogan as a vehicle to show its commitment to mutual growth and approaching challenges collectively. “We are deeply honoured to become a partner of Rugby World Cup, an event that inspires people around the world”, said Naohiro Yamaguchi, President and CEO, Isuzu Motors Limited.
The Yokohama-based brand will look to leverage this opportunity with providing both the men’s and women’s World Cups with its selection of commercial trucks, bakkies and other relevant transport. Another key activation for the firm is its ability to connect with the audiences for each RWC by conducting brand communications aimed at rugby fans, marrying the values of the company with rugby culture. Yamaguchi added, “Embracing rugby’s spirit of taking on challenges as one team, we will work closely with World Rugby to contribute to the success of men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 and women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.”
The men’s Springbok team, who currently hold the Rugby World Cup, will begin their 2027 campaign against Italy at the Adelaide Oval on 3 October at 05:45 SAST.
“As rugby enters an exciting new era of growth and global reach, partnerships with world-class organisations such as Isuzu are helping us unlock new opportunities for the sport and our fans,” concluded Michel Poussau, Chief Revenue Officer at World Rugby.
